Bio

Who is Dr. Manhattan?
Dr. Manhattan is the name given to the being once known as Dr. Jon Osterman, a scientist at the Gila Flats research facility in Arizona. Accidentally locked into the testing chamber, Osterman's physical form was entirely disintegrated, and through some method unknown he was able to reform himself some months later. Now capable of altering matter at will, he serves the government as a deterrent against nuclear war. The full extent of Dr. Manhattan's abilities have never been tested.

1959	May 12th	Jon's first day at the Gila Flats Research Facility; he meets Janey Slater for the first time. [MORE]
1966	May 21st	Jon and Laurie go out on patrol and subsequently kiss on a rooftop. Jon informs her of their date on Friday. [MORE]
1966	May 24th	Jon goes to dinner with Laurie and her mother, asks Sally's permission to take Laurie on a date. [MORE]
1966	May 27th	Jon takes Laurie out to L'Iimperio on a dinner date. [MORE]
1969	January 20th	Jon joins Rorschach on patrol on the night of Nixon's inauguration. [MORE]
1971	March 3rd	Jon arrives in Vietnam following a bomb attack on the Capitol building and is met by Blake, the Comedian. [MORE]
1975	May 17th	Jon and Laurie visit Adrian at Karnak.[MORE] Laurie grows angry at Jon's apparent interest in Adrian and storms off to the guest room where she and Jon argue and eventually make love.[MORE] Meanwhile a duplicate Jon continues his conversation with Adrian and teleports him to the roof of Veidt Enterprises in New York,[MORE] and subsequently to a planet orbitting the star Vega.[MORE]
1985	October 5th	Jon meets with Blake at Down the Hatch and is concerned at his excessively nihilistic attitude. [MORE]
1985	December 1st	Jon is convinced to meet with Adrian at Karnak. [MORE]
1985	December 2nd	Jon repairs Karnak, begins work on a device to hide his continued presence on Earth from the world governments. [MORE]
1985	December 3rd	Adrian asks Jon to accompany him back to New York. Jon consents. [MORE]
1985	December 6th	Jon interrupts Laurie's preparations for Dan's informal dinner party and takes her to his new world, where she convinces him to remain on Earth. [MORE] They return to Dreiberg's for an awkward meal, which Adrian Veidt also attends.[MORE]
1985	December 14th	In Adrian's New York residence, Jon decides to ask Adrian to explain his persistent nightmares. [MORE]
